Christmas market and a trade.

 Finally the day has come.

Now I have no more time to speculate on how to do things, and that's good. This evening I was there to set up my space and tomorrow it all begins. This is a new experience to me and I have no idea of what people are searching for. I might have missed out on everything I made. Friends of mine that saw my things speaks well of it, so all I can do now is to wait and see.
It was fairly quick done to organize my things, I don't have too much. Many oyhers had lots and lots of goods. It wasn't easy to photograph in there, so you'll have to see some not that good photos. The bunad sacks are not mine, but I allowed her to use that space.

Can you spot my glasses in one of the shelves? It's so iritating, they're still there. I'll have to do without them untill I'm back to pick them up tomorrow.
Please, keep your fingers crossed for me for this whole thing, I probably need it.

When I returned home this evening a wonderful surprise waited for me in the mailbox. Lee and I have a trade going and today her part arrived at my home, the same day as I shipped mine. This must be a good sign for coming weekend, I think. Thanks alot Lee for the beautiful card, I love it! And yes, it reached me in one piece.
To the rest of you, have a look, isn't it beautiful ?

Have a nice weekend everyone, mine is going to be busy I hope.

VIP.

I'm working on a trade project.

We've had such wonderful weather the last couple of days, that means a lot of garden work and planting in some new summerflowers. Then, just a few minutes ago I heard on the radio that coming weekend will bring frost again. It's unbelievable.

My trade this time gave me a real challenge, it wouldn't work out as I had planned it and because of that I had to change my choise of tecknique. The way I do it now looks promising and I'm really excited about this whole thing.
Have you ever tried trading? I highly recommend it, it's a special joy to make something ment for another person and the excitement added to the whole process. As you understand I can't show what I'm making other than some close close closeups.

My part of this trade contains three pieces that together will make one whole expression. I haven't decide whether to connect them yet. First I need to see how they work together when done.

OH, I'm so enjoying this and I hope my trading partner enjoys it too.

We're promised nice weather tomorrow too, I wish the same for you whatever nice weather means to you.

Superfriday!

Friday was a fantastic day. So many good things happened to me. I have a teacher friend that unexpectedly paid me a visit just to say hello. A male friend and his daughter came to visit too, and the young girl wanted to paint so we all did that. And then came the mailman. My February trade painting was landing in the mailbox together with a letter from Russia and a postcard from The US. What more could a person want for one day alone?

After a slow morning  my teacher friend came to visit. She is teaching a disabled boy this year, and Friday they had planned an excursion which included a visit to my place. After visiting me they drove to the sea to have a look at the waves and perhaps pick some nice stones.
My male friend Per and his daughter Klara lives in Oslo and are on a visit to Pers mother. They used an opportunety to pay me a visit too which I appreciated.
Klara is such a sweet girl and much less shy than she was a year ago. We painted and Klara was allowed to try my twinkling watercolours. She enjoys painting but after a while she wanted to explore Sandras room and play with all the new stuff she found there. It is really amazing to observe children, how fast they can turn from one thing to another. Klara found some toys and went strait into another state of mind. She was serving coffee and the dolls got some real treatment from her. When her father told her the time had come to leave, she begged him to wait just another minute.

I'm so facinated by all this, had completely forgotten how it is to be a small child. When I'm thinking of it I can remember I was like that too. Changing the play after what possibilities the toys in front of me gave me, and never failed to make the situation real. How blessed children are to own that skill!

My friend Per is a nice guy too, in some areas we are much alike and I really can't resist his laughter. In the photo his eyes are closed, but normally he is FAR from blind. It was nice meeting with them both again.

And then the mail.

Postcard and letter from fellow postcrossers and my trade painting. This months trading was between  Julie Ann Bowden and myself. The angel Lucy light is now in my home and I'm so glad for that. Julie paints some beautiful paintings, and I'm especially drawn to her faces. It's like a miracle to be able to study one of her paintings in person. Thank you again Julie for trading with me, it almost feels like winning the lottery.

Have a dive into Julies blog and discover all her beautiful art. You won't regret using some time there.

Take care everyone!

Look what I got in the mail today!

I was soooooo excited.

I decided at once to delay the opening moment. It's so nice to know it's finally here, yet still I want to delay. Tell myself to wait at least another hour and then be able to feel my resistance melt like butter. It's quite interesting to observe oneself in those situations.
I have to touch it once more, feel it, and think about what it has been through. All the way from The US. Perhaps I should just open it at once? No....., I make another turn around in the house trying to think of other things. Impossible, all my senses know about that envelope.

The struggle between me and my will lasts for 20 minutes. I melted alot faster than expected. Do you ever do things this way?

Look at this beautiful artwork. It's called "The long way home" and it spoke to me the minute I saw it in Heathers shop. Now I'm the proud owner of it and will use some time to choose a proper place to hang it.

The one below is so sweet, and I immediately thought of Sandras room when I first saw it. I think that will be the right place to hang it.

As if that wasn't enough Heather had made me a handmade card as well. A beautiful and handwritten message inside.
This has been such a lovely experience, now it remains to see if my envelope to her will turn up safe at her place. I keep my fingers crossed for that.

Thanks alot Heather, this has been so much fun!!
