Happy PPF and Friday Sketches!
I was in doubt on what to show today, but that was untill I saw Dion's suggestion. Tea/Coffee cups/mugs is always a good alternative, and there is so many fun to choose from. This specific one is on my wishlist. Now, why don't I just buy it, you might think. Well, I have to go to the gallery that sells them, and that's far away from where I live. But, I hope to be able to visit there one day. This mug might not be available at that time, but I'm sure there will be others that I may want to buy.
I have seen many different mugs, and quite a few I wish I had. It's so fun to have extraordinary mugs/cups. This black and yellow Zebra mug is so much fun, and the tail as handle. What's your favorite cup/mug?
As I decided on sketching this one I felt for making jungle like border to match the theme of my mug. I'm not sure who the designer is, but I have the name written some place.
I really don't have time to write this post, there's so much gardenwork to do right now. Handyman is out there weeding already, I better go help him.
Thanks for visiting, I appreciate all of you!
I think the tail handle is inspired! Very cute cup!
ReplyDeleteLove your mug, I have several 'animal' ones bought after visits to zoos. Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove your mug, my favourite mug is a zany cat. Happy PPF, Annette x

no that's a cool mug!! Great painting!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute mug! The tail handle is very unique. I enjoy mugs to have my drinks in. Depending on my mood, I pick a different one each day. But my favorite is still one HB gave me that says "I'm the queen of everything."
ReplyDeleteI have such a mug fetish so I get your love of this mug....great illustration of it too!! It is so whimsical and full of personality....maybe someone will get it for you if you put the bug in their ear!!

Cool mug - love the leafy background. Have some gardening fun
ReplyDeleteLove the mug, that handle is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI cannot even believe that is a real mug! How cool! Your drawing of it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite mug is actually "altered." Several years ago, friend gave my son a set of eyes and funny mouths to put on mugs. They're kind of like stickers, except made to stick to mugs - and best of all, they're dishwasher safe! They've stayed on literally for years and years now. Everyone in the family politely fights over the "face" mugs. They are the most popular ones in the house!
very fun, and you're right; cups and mugs are always fun subjects!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are pottery from local artists! So quite a variety of shapes, patterns and sizes!
Your composition is perfect, that tail falling out of the border makes it all hang together. Mugs are such personal things. I like thin white ones with pale colours & metallics. Thank you for making me think about that... :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your zebra mug, now do a raffie and an ellie too please. Happy PPF.
ReplyDeleteNice sketch of that wild mug-love how you framed it too!! If you're meant to have it it will be there waiting for you :) Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteCute! I really like your colour choices for the leaf border, too!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite tea cup is one with two cats on it. I have a matching tea pot and a little tea bag holder. My sons and husband picked it out for me, so it is extra special.
what a cute mug!!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of painting a mug instead of buying it and I like your border very much.
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening.
that really looks like a lovely mug, and I love how the tail is the handle. Hope you get to purchase it some day ....
ReplyDeleteThat's a great cup. Great job!

ReplyDeleteYour zebra mug is adorable! Could it be a tiger?
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable Laila!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and vivid line work. Very compelling and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite mug is an enamelled tin one with colorful cats on it. Another favorite is the one with the Jolly Roger, but that one is recently often "stolen" by dear BF. *lol* Great sketch of a tiger/zebra mug! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteOh my that would definitely be an interesting mug to have tea from. Love your interpretation. Thanks for dropping by.
