Have found that, while we may not "think" about it, we tend to use it unconsciously. It is a natural draw when we are looking at something, either to photograph, edit, or make into a painting.

Thank you for the more in-depth illustration of the rule of thirds!

-BarbBronson Hill Artshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15992185068324437185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6874825322486044394.post-86993736075215916552014-10-19T05:28:29.132+02:002014-10-19T05:28:29.132+02:00Thanks for the valuable lesson Laila, I have heard...Thanks for the valuable lesson Laila, I have heard of the rule of thirds but just vaguely.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15720030744345215307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6874825322486044394.post-49163586382514361612014-10-19T02:36:12.482+02:002014-10-19T02:36:12.482+02:00I have heard of the rule of thirds and it goes for...I have heard of the rule of thirds and it goes for photography too... although it helps I am with Susi I need the spontaneity in my art! I have heard that the main focus should be not at the halfway mark but above or below it and not in the middle of the sheet horizontally either. I also have heard that the eye should be able to flow across and back again (not exactly like a circle, but of that nature). I like your painting and appreciate your lesson. I'll try it soon.Fayehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06006293795541608715noreply@blogger.com
